街は様々な要素とそれらが持つ色彩で彩られ、個性を構築している。何気なく街を歩いていても、知らず知らず何か風景を切り取って記憶しているのではないだろうか。その記憶を切り紙のように取り出し、新しい風景を作ることを試みた。台湾の住宅の多くには小さく鮮やかなタイルが使用され、規則的でありながらも自由に並べられている。また、建築物に見られる些細な構造部にも台湾独特の形のリズムを感じる。あるところで立ち止まり、ふと目がいったものをじっと眺める時間を作る。形や色、生活の中にある単純でも唯一なものとは何か思いを巡らす。

The city is colored with various elements and colors, creating a personality. Even if you casually walk around the city, you might not know and remember some scenery. I took out that memory like a piece of paper and tried to create a new landscape. Many of the houses in Taiwan use small, bright tiles and put in line regularly but also freely arranged. In addition, even the trivial structural parts found in the buildings have a unique rhythm in Taiwan. Stop at a spot casually, and take time to look at something that your eyes caught. I ponder what the only thing in my life is. That is not shape, color, and simple things.
