カフカ短編小説「夕方帰宅してみると」
物語は、主人公が夕方帰宅すると、部屋に巨大な卵が転がっているという場面から始まる。彼は卵から孵った鳥と契約を交わし、南国に旅立つため養い育て、 飛び方を教え込んだ。「僕、こうのとり風の鳥は、君が魚、蛙、虫でもって、 飛べるようになるまで僕を扶養してくれた場合には、君を僕の背に乗せて南方の国々へ運ぶ義務を負うことを約束する。」文庫本にして、わずか４ページのこの物語は、どこか作品を生み出す状況を連想させた。私たちは会場であるミルクイーストという空間を、作中でいう「部屋の中」に例え、さまざまな手技でもって作品をつくり、春を迎える準備をした。そして、「我々の世界」を捉えるための、他者と思考する場として開かれることを目指したのだった。

this title is come from the four-page story by Franz Kafka. In this story, the main character returns home one evening to find an enormous egg rolling around his room. He makes a contract with the stork-like bird that hatches from it and begins learning to fly in preparation for a trip to the tropics. The protagonist and the bird agree that in exchange for learning to fly to catch fish, frogs, and insects, the bird will carry the man on his back to a tropical place. Through a variety of artwork and approaches, MilkYeast has been transformed into the man’s room.
